New Milford Hospital
Cancer Center
New Milford, Connecticut
The new addition to the existing hospital accommodated a new Radiation Oncology Department with a Linear Accelerator Room and relocation of the existing Chemotherapy Department. The architectural solution was to create an atmosphere that promotes life and contributes to the healing process.
The Chemotherapy Treatment room is designed around a circular form to promote community with a continuous skylight that is uniquely tinted blue. This adds a therapeutic tone to the space that makes even a cloudy sky appear blue.
